EELS - Multiplayer game

EELS is an R&D project developed at B-Reel London. It combines various technologies into a multiplayer game experience where people can control their virtual EEL projected on a physical installation.

People could participate by using their mobile devices, using an HTML5 interface to provide direct control over their EEL.

This installation consists of a series of 42 x/y tilting devices connected to thin dried plant stalks installed in the gallery and a dried plant stalk connected to an accelerometer installed outdoors. When the wind blows, it causes the stalk outside to sway. The accelerometer detects this movement transmitting it in real-time to the grouping of devices in the gallery. Therefore the stalks in the gallery space move in real-time and in unison based on the movement of the wind outside.

tele-present water

This installation draws information from the intensity and movement of the water in a remote location. Wave data is being collected in real-time from National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration data buoy station 46075 Shumagin Islands Alaska (53°54'39" N 160°48'21" W).

"On refait" le match - Pied La Biche

"Refait" is a remake of the football WorldCup match between France and Germany (Seville, Spain, 1982). Shot by Pied La Biche in Villeurbanne (France), every aspect of the fifteen last minutes of the match was carefully reconstructed : players, positions, gestures, intensity, drama etc. It consists in shifting the traditional game area into the urban environment. Each sequence takes place in one or several locations and then the city temporarily becomes the lab for unsual experiments.
The soundtrack is made up of the original commentaries mixed with interviews of the audience recorded during the shooting.

Les 15 dernières minutes du match de coupe du monde France-Allemagne en 1982 à Séville. Tournées par Pied la Biche dans Villeurbanne (69, Fr). Chaque scène est reconstituée avec précision : joueurs, positions, gestes.
La bande son est un mélange des commentaires originaux et de paroles de spectateurs présents durant le tournage.
